Unshakable: Part 2 || Day 4

Psalms ‭101:1-8‬ ‭NLT‬‬‬‬‬‬
I will sing of your love and justice, Lord. I will praise you with songs. I will be careful to live a blameless life— when will you come to help me? I will lead a life of integrity in my own home. I will refuse to look at anything vile and vulgar. I hate all who deal crookedly; I will have nothing to do with them. I will reject perverse ideas and stay away from every evil. I will not tolerate people who slander their neighbors. I will not endure conceit and pride. I will search for faithful people to be my companions. Only those who are above reproach will be allowed to serve me. I will not allow deceivers to serve in my house, and liars will not stay in my presence. My daily task will be to ferret out the wicked and free the city of the Lord from their grip.

Unshakable people have a hatred for deception in all forms.

1 Peter 2:1 says, “Therefore, rid yourselves of all malice and all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander of every kind.”

Ephesians 5:6 says, “Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God’s wrath comes on those who are disobedient.”

And Proverbs 12:5 says, “The plans of the righteous are just, but the advice of the wicked is deceitful.”

Beloved, in a time when everything you want is at the touch of your fingers, we must be very careful and watchful on what we allow in our minds and spirits. Church, you can go online and find justification for any sin you want to commit. You can search the web and find 2 Timothy 3:13 people, “These people shall wax worse, deceiving and being deceived.”

You can go online and find someone using a scripture out of context on why it’s ok to murder, why it’s ok to discriminate against people who are not your own color, why it’s ok for you to have many spouses or not be faithful to the one you have, why it’s ok not to tithe, attend church, or walk in holiness. All of this is at the touch of your fingers now.

However, that won’t keep you from falling in times of shaking, nor keep you from backsliding in a time of temptation. It won’t keep you grounded in a time of storms. But when you have given yourself to an anointed, Spirit-led, Bible teaching leadership, God will place a grace on you to stand in times like these. When you develop a hatred for deception, the Holy Spirit will reveal to you truth, and that which is not truth.

The Bible says He is the Spirit of Truth! When you develop a hatred for deception and a fellowship with Him, He will cause the gift of discerning spirits to be at work in you. That gift will be heightened inside of you.
That’s why I don’t understand how Spirit-filled believers can vote for people who are openly against the Word that you claim to preach and obey. The only way you can do that is by ignoring His voice.

When you develop a hatred for deception, it will cause the truth to become more evident and clear. The psalmist says, “I will root out this kind of deception daily.” Daily I will do an examination of my life and see if there is any deception that has tried to creep in. The apostle Paul said, “I examine my life daily to see if I am in the faith or not.”

Church, this is how this ministry has continued to climb during turbulent times and times of uncertainty. We have a hatred for deception and we lean on the Spirit to lead us into all truth. Therefore, every time the enemy brings something up to try and destroy us we can see right through it and we don’t give way to it.
