The Holy Spirit || Part 11, Day 3

Acts‬ 2‬:1‬-4‬ NKJV

When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

I Corinthians‬ 12‬:1‬-11‬ NKJV‬‬

Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I do not want you to be ignorant: You know that you were Gentiles, carried away to these dumb idols, however you were led. Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed, and no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit. There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.

Word of Knowledge - It is knowledge given by the Holy Spirit to the believer that they have no other way of knowing unless God speaks to them. It is information given from the mind of God concerning people, places, things, or conditions that affect a person. It reveals all these things from the past, and even the present.

Many times, the word of knowledge and the working of miracles, are companion gifts. In other words, God will supernaturally give someone knowledge from the Holy Spirit about someone else. This could be a sickness, disease, or a situation they are facing. Once it is revealed through the gift of knowledge, then He works through the person in the working of miracles to heal, deliver, or help that person.

We see this gift in operation with Jesus and the woman at the well. Jesus tells this lady information about her past and her present that He only knew by the Holy Spirit. We also see this gift in operation with Peter and John. They heal a lame man that is laying at the gate called Beautiful. In this example, the word of knowledge comes, and then the working of miracles comes right after. The man is healed and walked away, carrying his mat.

This is a very powerful gift that needs to be in operation in the church today. When God gives you a word of knowledge about someone, that person’s, faith soars because they realize God is speaking to them. At that moment, their faith rises, and it is the easiest time to receive a miracle. Remember, God doesn’t give you knowledge about that person to leave them the same. If God reveals to you something is wrong with someone, it is because He wants to help and heal that person.

Let’s pray together…
