Joshua 1:2-11 NKJV
“Moses My servant is dead. Now therefore, arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this people, to the land which I am giving to them—the children of Israel. Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given you, as I said to Moses. From the wilderness and this Lebanon as far as the great river, the River Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and to the Great Sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your territory. No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you. Be strong and of good courage, for to this people you shall divide as an inheritance the land which I swore to their fathers to give them. Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go. This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Then Joshua commanded the officers of the people, saying, “Pass through the camp and command the people, saying, ‘Prepare provisions for yourselves, for within three days you will cross over this Jordan, to go in to possess the land which the Lord your God is giving you to possess.’ ”
When God speaks, we have to believe, and we have to respond in faith. If heaven is placing a demand on your faith, it is because God is releasing the promise! If hell is attacking your faith, it is because God is releasing the promise!
God doesn’t determine what level of faith we operate in; the devil doesn’t determine what level of faith we operate in; we determine what level of faith we operate in!
Know the truth, the power, the integrity behind God’s word! Yes, God’s word will heal you from your past and yes it will secure a great future for you. But God’s word is a word for your NOW! In order for us to truly walk in faith in what God has said, we must commit to this. God’s word is for my NOW! NOW faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not yet seen.
Therefore church, today—right now—if the Word says you can have it, you can have it right now! If the Word says you can be healed, then you are healed now! If the Word says you are free because of the blood of Jesus, then you are free right now! If the Word says you are protected, then you are protected right now!
Notice one thing in the word of God, the devil never argued about the word of God being true. He would twist it and deceive people. He would ask others, “Did God really say it?” But he never said it wasn’t true. Why? Because even the devil knows the Word of God is true!
What causes the children of Israel to take a man named Achan, his whole family, and all that he had and destroy it? They had made a commitment to God and themselves to walk by faith. When Achan sinned and took of God’s tithe, he was choosing to walk in the flesh and not faith. He was choosing to do things his way and not God’s way. When they saw that, they immediately recognized that behavior, and knew it was the same mindset that kept them out of the Promised Land for 40 years. And they refused to allow it to rob them of their future anymore.
